Journey with us through the Fraser River Estuary and learn how the river is a creator, a sculptor, and a provider for the peoples along its banks. Along the way, listen to stories of rum runners, salmon cannons, rescued whales, and abandoned boats.

Exploring the beauty of the Salish Sea
After the 90-minute cruise, spend three hours exploring Snug Cove on Bowen Island at your own pace. Stroll the waterfront village, visit cafés and shops, enjoy coastal views, or explore forest trails before returning to Vancouver by afternoon cruise.
Depart from the Vancouver Maritime Museum for a summer cruise through the Salish Sea aboard the classic vessel Gikumi. Led by captain and storyteller John Turpin, the journey through English Bay and Howe Sound features live commentary on Vancouver’s maritime history, working waterfront, and Bowen Island’s past.
